It sounds like a cliché to make a statement like 'this is the best company I've ever worked for' in a forum like this. I would say that wouldn't I?(I have a salary to earn after all!) But the simple truth is that @Work is a different company, though I was as cynical as you might be feeling right now at the beginning.
I first met Michelle before the doors of the company had opened for the first time and listened to her plans and ideas ('pipe dreams' is what I was actually thinking, to be completely honest!) It all sounded great, but I've been in recruitment a long time and everyone claims to be 'different' right? So, I went away and took a job with a nice, 'safe' high street agency where your working practices are very prescribed and individuality is, shall we say, not exactly encouraged!
But, I kept in touch with Michelle, watched the progress of @Work and as time went on I began kicking myself that I hadn't joined her from the start. Thankfully, I got the chance to make the decision all over again at the beginning of the year and this time I didn't hesitate...
Not being someone you can put in to a box I am far from your average recruiter. In my time away from the desk I could be doing anything from riding motorbikes over cars to chucking myself out of a plane. It really is a wonder I make it in alive on a Monday morning!
